- Coordinate and maintain the day-to-day operations of the category management team.
- Assist with the development and implementation of category strategies and plans.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the grocery industry.
- Monitor and track product performance, sales data, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and promotions.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date product information, including pricing, descriptions, and images.
- Support the team in product assortment and assortment optimization decisions.
- Prepare and distribute reports and presentations to senior management.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the team.
- Maintain relationships and communicate effectively with internal departments, including merchandising, marketing, and operations.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures within the category management team.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Qualification Required For An Administrator Category Assistant At Food Lion Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Effectively Communicate And Understand Instructions.
Previous Retail Experience: Candidates With Previous Experience In The Retail Industry, Particularly In A Grocery Store Setting, Will Be Preferred For This Role.
