- Supervise a team of criminal investigators, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective and efficient investigations.
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing data to build strong cases.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and legal teams to share information and coordinate efforts in complex cases.
- Stay up-to-date on laws, regulations, and policies related to the FDA and apply this knowledge to investigations.
- Review and evaluate investigative reports and make recommendations for further action, such as issuing warnings, seizing products, or pursuing criminal charges.
- Provide expert testimony in court proceedings related to FDA investigations.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and confidential case records and documentation.
- Manage resources and budgets to ensure investigations are conducted within allotted timeframes and adhere to agency standards.
- Foster a culture of integrity, professionalism, and ethical behavior within the investigative team.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries and providing updates on ongoing investigations.
- Identify areas for improvement in investigative processes and procedures, and implement necessary changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and agency policies, ensuring all investigations are conducted in a lawful and ethical manner.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance skills and knowledge in the field of criminal investigation and FDA regulations.
Extensive Knowledge Of Criminal Investigation Procedures And Techniques: This Includes Understanding Of Evidence Collection, Surveillance Methods, And Interrogation Techniques.
Experience In Supervising And Managing A Team Of Investigators: A Successful Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Overseeing A Team Of Investigators And Ensuring Their Work Is Conducted Efficiently And Effectively.
Knowledge Of Fda Regulations And Laws: A Thorough Understanding Of Fda Regulations And Laws Related To Food And Drug Safety Is Essential For A Supervisory Criminal Investigator To Effectively Investigate And Enforce Violations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Other Law Enforcement Agencies, Fda Officials, And Potentially The Media. The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Build Relationships Is Crucial.
