  1. Conduct research and analysis on social and behavioral sciences related to modified-risk tobacco products.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop policies and regulations related to modified-risk tobacco products.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the potential impact of modified-risk tobacco products on public health.
  4. Utilize data and evidence to inform decision-making processes.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current research and developments in the field of public health and tobacco control.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to communicate complex scientific information to various audiences.
  7. Coordinate with other departments and agencies to ensure consistency and alignment of policies and regulations.
  8. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior leadership.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant industry partners, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders.
  10. Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  11. Participate in public outreach and education initiatives related to modified-risk tobacco products.
  12. Collect and analyze data to monitor compliance and effectiveness of policies and regulations.
  13. Develop and implement protocols for evaluating and assessing the potential impact of modified-risk tobacco products.
  14. Communicate and present findings, recommendations, and updates to various stakeholders.
  15. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job Qualifications

  • Degree In Social Sciences: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Social Science Field Such As Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Or Public Health Is Required For The Position Of Mrtpa Coordinator At The Food And Drug Administration. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Understand And Analyze Social And Behavioral Factors Related To Tobacco Use And Regulation.

  • Knowledge Of Tobacco Regulation And Policy: The Mrtpa Coordinator Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Tobacco Products And Their Marketing. This Includes Knowledge Of The Family Smoking Prevention And Tobacco Control Act And The Regulatory Process Of The Food And Drug Administration.

  • Research And Analytical Skills: Social Scientists Are Trained In Research Methods And Data Analysis, Which Are Crucial Skills For An Mrtpa Coordinator. The Ability To Collect, Interpret, And Present Data On Tobacco Use And Marketing Trends Is Essential In This Role, As It Informs The Development And Implementation Of Regulations.

  • Communication And Writing Skills: As A Coordinator, This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Various Stakeholders, Such As Government Officials, Industry Representatives, And Public Health Organizations. The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Information And Regulations Is Crucial, As Well As Strong Writing Skills For Drafting Reports And Policy Documents.

  • Experience In Project Management: The Mrtpa Coordinator Will Oversee And Manage Various Projects Related To Tobacco Product Regulation. Therefore, Experience In Project Management, Including Planning, Organizing, And Coordinating Tasks And Resources, Is An Essential Qualification For This Role.
