  1. Conduct laboratory analysis of food and drug samples in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory data by following quality control measures and maintaining proper documentation.

  4. Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of laboratory testing.

  6. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment to meet safety and regulatory standards.
  8. Communicate effectively with colleagues, superiors, and external stakeholders to provide updates and share findings.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve laboratory processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  10. Adhere to all FDA policies and regulations, as well as ethical standards, while performing laboratory duties.
  11. Mentor and train laboratory technicians and other staff members as needed.
  12. Attend conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to laboratory science and food and drug safety.
  13. Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  14. Represent the FDA and the laboratory unit in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  15. Uphold the FDA's mission to protect public health and promote the highest standards for food and drug safety.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) From A Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agency.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Regulatory Environment.

  • Strong Understanding Of Good Laboratory Practices (Glp) And Current Good Manufacturing Practices (Cgmp) Regulations.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Interpret And Analyze Complex Laboratory Data.
