Packaging Technician
Monitors equipment operations and makes adjustments and/or repairs (mechanical and/or electrical) on various types of packaging and related
equipment such as but not limited to baggers, case erectors, case sealers, packers, etc. as necessary. Installs and dismantles packaging and related equipment. Performs preventative maintenance work. Operates various packaging equipment. Reports to Supervisor the general condition of equipment and recommends replacement when necessary. Responsible for keeping required records and documentation. Responsible for cleanliness of machine(s) and work area. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
2+ years of skilled electrical experience using and troubleshooting voltages up to 480 or more in a manufacturing/industrial environment is required
Previous experience as a Packaging Technician or Journeyman Electrician is preferred
NCCER certification is required
Ability to Program and maintain coder systems, metal detectors, and check weighers
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime
