Job Description

Maintain, repair, and calibrate all instruments throughout the refinery such as but not limited to flow meters, burners, transmitters, recorders, and controllers. Work from blueprints, sketches, specification or verbal instruction on job assignments requiring skill and accuracy for the construction, installation, adjustment, maintenance and repair of all electrical and instrument systems and equipment. Read and demonstrate an understanding of ladder logic, P&IDs, one-line electrical drawings, process flow diagrams, and instrument service manuals. Perform such function as: installing conduit, piping and tubing, cables, wiring and electro-mechanical equipment for power, light, control, signal, instrument and distribution systems, and other similar duties as directed. Install meters, meter wiring, transformers, and makes proper connections for various load condition. Install motors, switchboards and control equipment for industrial drives, automatic operation and interlocking of processing equipment.

Job Qualifications
  • Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis

  • Knowledge of code requirements pertaining to electrical installations

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience

  • At least 1 year field experience

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment
