Develop and implement risk management and compliance policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and assess potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Communicate and train employees on risk and compliance protocols and procedures to ensure understanding and adherence.
Collaborate with various departments and teams to identify and address potential risk areas and implement corrective actions.
Monitor and review changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and make necessary updates to policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks.
Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies, management, and other stakeholders as required.
Lead and manage a team of risk and compliance professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies to enhance the overall risk and compliance program.
Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and information as needed.
Ensure all employee actions and business practices align with the company's values and ethical standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and developments in risk management and compliance to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement the company's risk and compliance strategy.
Represent the company in meetings and discussions with external stakeholders, promoting a positive and professional image.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive information in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Risk Management And Compliance: A Senior Risk Compliance Officer At First Horizon Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Risk Management And Compliance, Preferably Within The Financial Industry. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Compliance Frameworks.
Strong Knowledge Of Banking Regulations And Laws: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Banking Regulations And Laws, Including But Not Limited To Dodd-Frank Act, Bank Secrecy Act, And Anti-Money Laundering Regulations. They Should Be Able To Interpret And Apply These Regulations To First Horizon's Operations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior-Level Position, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Regulators, Auditors, And Internal Teams. They Should Also Be Able To Provide Training And Guidance To Other Team Members.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Risk Compliance Officer Should Have Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify Potential Risks And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Them. They Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Data And Provide Insights To Senior Management.
Proven Track Record Of Managing Compliance Programs: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Compliance Programs And Implementing Risk Management Strategies. They Should Have Experience In Implementing Policies And Procedures, Conducting Audits, And Monitoring Compliance Within An Organization.
