  1. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all aspects of the financial services industry, including but not limited to credit, market, operational, and regulatory risks.
  2. Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to identify potential risks and develop risk management strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and teams to ensure risk management strategies are implemented effectively throughout the organization.
  4. Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure the organization remains in line with all relevant risk management guidelines.
  5. Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
  6. Analyze and interpret complex financial data to identify potential risks and make recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
  7. Communicate risk assessment findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Provide guidance and training to employees on risk management principles and best practices.
  9. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management strategies, making adjustments as needed to improve the organization's risk profile.
  10. Proactively identify potential areas of risk and develop proactive solutions to mitigate these risks.
  11. Manage and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other relevant parties to ensure compliance with risk management regulations and guidelines.
  12. Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and training programs to stay updated on the latest risk management trends and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Certification: A Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Business, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Risk Consultant Position At First Horizon. Candidates With A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field May Have An Advantage. Additionally, Holding Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Risk Manager (Crm) Or Financial Risk Manager (Frm) Can Demonstrate A High Level Of Expertise.

  • Experience In Risk Management: First Horizon Typically Seeks Candidates With At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Risk Management, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry. This Experience Should Include Conducting Risk Assessments, Developing Risk Management Strategies, And Implementing Risk Mitigation Measures.

  • Analytical Skills: Risk Consultants At First Horizon Must Have Strong Analytical Skills To Identify And Assess Potential Risks To The Organization. This Includes The Ability To Gather And Interpret Data, Analyze Financial Statements, And Perform Risk Modeling.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Compliance: A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Compliance Is Essential For A Risk Consultant At First Horizon. This Includes Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To The Financial Services Industry, As Well As Industry Best Practices For Risk Management.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: Risk Consultants At First Horizon Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate Complex Risk Information To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management And Clients. They Must Also Be Able To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Implement Risk Management Strategies And Initiatives.
