Oversee all financial operations within the commercial banking division, including budgeting, financial planning, and financial reporting.
Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on financial matters, including identifying potential growth opportunities and mitigating risks.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving financial performance.
Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve individual and team goals.
Collaborate with other departments and business units to ensure alignment of financial goals and strategies.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the commercial banking division.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, and regulators.
Prepare and present financial reports and presentations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Manage and monitor the division's budget and expenses, making adjustments as needed to ensure financial targets are met.
Identify areas for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize financial resources.
Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance within the commercial banking division.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Is Typically Required For A Finance Manager, Commercial Banking Position At First Horizon. This Educational Background Provides A Strong Foundation In Financial Principles And Prepares Candidates For The Complex Financial Challenges Of Commercial Banking.
