As a Compliance Officer at First Horizon, you will be responsible for ensuring that our business practices and activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. You will be a critical member of the team, driving the development and implementation of compliance programs to protect the organization from potential legal and regulatory risks.Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field, and at least 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, and/or audit. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure that all business activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and assess compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and take corrective action as needed.
- Track and report on compliance activities, identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending appropriate corrective action.
- Assist in the development of training and educational materials related to compliance topics.
- Create and maintain a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and relevant third parties.
- Investigate and respond to compliance-related inquiries and complaints.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance to the business on compliance-related issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
