Job Description

At First Horizon, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping our organization meet all applicable compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of compliance regulations within the financial services industry.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within the financial services industry. They will also possess a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Additionally, the successful candidate should have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring all compliance requirements are met and maintained. This includes researching, interpreting, and implementing new and existing regulations, as well as monitoring compliance activities and identifying areas of risk. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently, while also being a team player with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures that adhere to applicable requirements

• Monitor compliance activities to ensure adherence to applicable regulations

• Research, interpret, and implement new and existing regulations

• Identify areas of risk and recommend strategies for mitigation

• Create and maintain compliance documentation and records

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance

• Provide guidance and support to teams on compliance requirements

• Investigate any compliance issues that arise

• Prepare and present compliance reports to management

• Stay up to date on any changes in the financial services industry regulations
