Job Description

At First Horizon, we are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a proactive approach to customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and manage multiple customer accounts. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and managing customer accounts, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in collections. A college degree is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment and have the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Additionally, the candidate should have strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and basic accounting software. The candidate must also possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and manage customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  2. Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Proactively provide customer service.
  4. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
  5. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and basic accounting software.
  6. Multi-task and manage multiple customer accounts.
  7. Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and colleagues.
  8. Use problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues.
  9. Stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and policies.
  10. Utilize proper collections techniques when necessary.
