Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and protect the bank's assets.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk reduction and prevention.
Analyze data and identify trends to inform decision making and support risk management strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of risk management efforts with overall business objectives.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in risk management to continuously improve processes and procedures.
Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in risk analysis and management.
Communicate risk management findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support risk management efforts.
Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Participate in the development and enhancement of risk management tools and systems.
Monitor and report on key risk indicators, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive risk management approach across the organization.
Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with new products, processes, and initiatives.
Lead or assist with special projects related to risk management as needed.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Risk Management: Candidates For A Senior Risk Analytics Consultant Position At First Citizens Bank Should Have A Strong Background In Risk Management, With A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In The Field. This Should Include Experience In Developing Risk Management Strategies, Implementing Risk Models And Frameworks, And Conducting Risk Assessments.
Advanced Analytical And Technical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Advanced Analytical Skills And Be Proficient In Statistical Modeling, Data Analysis, And Data Visualization Tools. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Complex Data Sets And Be Able To Use Programming Languages Such As Sql Or Python.
Knowledge Of Financial Regulations And Industry Best Practices: A Senior Risk Analytics Consultant Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Financial Regulations And Compliance Requirements, As Well As Industry Best Practices Related To Risk Management. This Includes Knowledge Of Basel Iii, Dodd-Frank Act, And Other Relevant Regulations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Risk Analytics Consultant, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Work Closely With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, Business Teams, And Other Risk Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Leadership And Project Management Experience: The Candidate Should Have Experience In Leading And Managing Cross-Functional Projects And Teams. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Project Goals And Deliverables, Manage Timelines And Budgets, And Provide Guidance And Support To Team Members.
