Develop and implement an effective IT governance framework for the organization.
Create and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines related to IT governance and risk management.
Identify and assess potential risks to the organization's technology systems and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Lead the IT governance team and provide guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT governance strategies with overall business goals.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the IT governance framework and make recommendations for improvements.
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to IT governance and incorporate them into the organization's strategy.
Communicate IT governance policies and procedures to all employees and ensure compliance throughout the organization.
Oversee the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT systems.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT governance team and the organization as a whole.
Manage the budget for IT governance initiatives and ensure efficient use of resources.
Serve as a key advisor to senior management on IT governance matters.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization's IT governance strategy.
Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in IT governance.
Represent the organization in external meetings and conferences related to IT governance.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Information Technology Governance: A Senior Director At First Citizens Bank Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of It Governance Principles, Practices, And Frameworks. This Includes Experience In Developing And Implementing It Policies, Procedures, And Controls.
Strong Leadership And Strategic Planning Skills: The Senior Director Must Be Able To Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of It Governance Professionals. They Should Also Have The Ability To Develop And Execute A Strategic Plan For It Governance That Aligns With The Bank's Overall Goals And Objectives.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: First Citizens Bank Is Subject To Various Regulatory Requirements Related To It Governance, Such As Data Privacy And Security Regulations. The Senior Director Must Have A Deep Understanding Of These Requirements And Ensure That The Bank Is Compliant At All Times.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Key Member Of The It Leadership Team, The Senior Director Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Complex It Governance Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Collaborate With Other Departments And Teams To Ensure A Cohesive Approach To It Governance.
Proven Track Record Of Driving Continuous Improvement: The Senior Director Must Have A Track Record Of Implementing Processes And Controls That Continuously Improve The Effectiveness And Efficiency Of It Governance. This Includes Staying Up-To-Date On Industry Best Practices And Regularly Evaluating And Enhancing The Bank's It Governance Program.
