- Analyze and manage defaulted loans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigating financial risk for the bank.
- Conduct thorough investigations and research to identify the root cause of loan defaults.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to resolve defaulted loans and minimize financial losses for the bank.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as loan officers, legal counsel, and collections to coordinate and execute default resolution plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all defaulted loans, including communication with borrowers and any actions taken.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in loan processes to ensure compliance and inform decision-making.
- Conduct regular audits of default processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Communicate with external entities such as credit bureaus, attorneys, and investors to resolve defaulted loans and provide necessary documentation.
- Prepare and present reports on default trends, risks, and resolutions to management and other stakeholders.
- Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers by addressing inquiries and concerns related to defaulted loans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for new employees on default processes and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and strategies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, in all aspects of the role.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline default processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Loan Servicing Or Default Management.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Default And Loss Mitigation.
Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Financial Data.
