- Develop and execute FICO's external communications strategy to increase brand awareness and enhance the company's reputation as a global leader in analytics and decision management technology.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets to secure coverage and promote FICO's products, services, and thought leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and proactively pitch stories and spokesperson opportunities to relevant media outlets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop compelling content for press releases, media pitches, byline articles, and other communication materials.
- Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on communication strategies and messaging for key initiatives and announcements.
- Develop and manage relationships with industry analysts to secure positive coverage and maintain FICO's position as a thought leader in the industry.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform communication strategies and messaging.
- Manage external PR agencies and contractors to ensure the successful execution of PR campaigns and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and train potential company spokespeople and prepare them for media interviews and speaking engagements.
- Develop and maintain crisis communication plans and serve as a key spokesperson in times of crisis.
- Manage the communications budget and provide regular updates to senior leadership on PR activities and expenditures.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members to support their professional growth and development.
- Act as a brand ambassador for FICO and maintain a strong network of media and industry contacts to promote the company's objectives.
