
Transportation Specialist
In this position, you will be responsible for planning, developing, synchronizing and managing logistics operations in support of domestic emergencies and special events. Providing technical advice and assistance to the Logistics Management Directorate staff and appropriate staff members of DHS-FEMA on all matters associated with transportation management and operations. Interpreting policies and directives of other government agencies relating directly to non-tactical and commercial vehicles. Collaborating with management and commercial stakeholders on preliminary and final presentation of survey findings and recommendations. Processing transportation requests or preparing documents for appropriate agencies. Providing technical advice on transportation management or operations. Reviewing policies and procedures to make recommendations for changes.
3+ years of related experience
Knowledge of the operational procedures in the express delivery industry
Familiar with logistic management standards and practices and be able to deliver solutions.
Ability to organize and maintain progress on several tasks simultaneously
