  1. Lead and oversee a team of emergency management specialists in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters and emergencies.
  2. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to ensure efficient and effective response efforts.
  3. Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure a coordinated and timely response to emergencies.
  4. Assess and analyze potential risks and hazards in order to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  5. Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in emergency management.
  6. Provide guidance and support during high-pressure situations to ensure a calm and effective response.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate resources and support for emergency response efforts.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and the public to provide updates and information on emergency situations.
  9. Monitor and evaluate emergency response efforts to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  10. Stay up-to-date on the latest emergency management techniques and technologies, and incorporate them into response plans and procedures.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to emergency management.
  12. Represent the agency in meetings, conferences, and other events related to emergency management.
  13. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members in order to facilitate their professional growth and development.
  14. Maintain accurate records and reports related to emergency response activities.
  15. Collaborate with other supervisory staff to develop and implement agency-wide emergency management strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Emergency Management, Disaster Response, Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Emergency Management Laws, Regulations, And Procedures.

  • Strong Leadership And Supervisory Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Mentor A Team.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Stakeholders In High-Stress Situations.
