Job Description

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist. This important role will provide leadership and guidance to teams responding to emergencies, natural disasters, and other catastrophes. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for helping people in difficult times. Required Qualifications:• A bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field• At least 7 years of experience in emergency management operations, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience• Demonstrated ability to proactively develop and implement emergency management plans• Knowledge of FEMA policies, processes, and procedures• Ability to effectively analyze situations, make sound decisions, and take appropriate action• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills• Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and techniques• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations• Willingness to travel and be on call as needed
