Job Description

FEMA is looking for an enthusiastic Historic Preservation Specialist to join the team and help ensure that the agency's operations and programs comply with the National Historic Preservation Act. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to FEMA personnel and stakeholders in order to identify and protect historic properties and traditional cultural sites. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, a passion for historic preservation, and excellent communication skills. If you have a commitment to preserving our nation's heritage and are looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity, this role may be the perfect fit for you!Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in historic preservation, anthropology, archeology, or related field• Minimum of two years' experience in historic preservation or related field• Knowledge of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and related regulations and executive orders• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders• Excellent communication and organizational skills
