Job Description

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is looking for a motivated and experienced Hazard Mitigation Floodplain Management Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to use your skills to help FEMA protect people and property from hazardous flooding. This Specialist will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing FEMA’s floodplain management and hazard mitigation programs.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as geography, civil engineering, or environmental science, at least two years of experience in floodplain management, and an understanding of FEMA’s regulations, policies, and procedures. They must also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.We are looking for someone who will bring enthusiasm and creativity to their work and collaborate effectively with FEMA team members and external partners to achieve our mission.
