
Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery)

- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to support the overall mission of FEMA.
- Conduct damage assessments and collaborate with local officials to determine the needs of affected communities.
- Coordinate with various federal, state, and local agencies to ensure a comprehensive and efficient recovery process.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on disaster recovery, providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of recovery efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
- Support the distribution of disaster relief funds and resources to individuals and communities in need.
- Communicate regularly with disaster survivors, providing them with information and resources to aid in their recovery.
- Conduct training and education programs to increase awareness and preparedness for disasters.
- Participate in disaster response operations as needed, including deploying to disaster areas to provide on-site assistance.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to track recovery efforts and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to facilitate a collaborative and effective recovery process.
- Stay updated on current disaster recovery protocols and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations while carrying out recovery efforts.
- Represent FEMA in meetings and events related to disaster recovery and provide updates on progress and developments.
- Uphold the values and mission of FEMA, promoting a culture of preparedness, compassion, and dedication to helping others.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Disaster Recovery And/Or Emergency Management.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Disaster Recovery.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With A Diverse Range Of Stakeholders.
Experience Managing And Coordinating Multiple Recovery Projects Simultaneously.
