As a key member of our recovery team, you will play a vital role in coordinating and implementing recovery efforts in communities affected by disasters.   1. Coordinate and implement recovery efforts in communities affected by disasters.
  2. Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to assess damage and identify needs for recovery.
  3. Develop and implement comprehensive recovery plans that prioritize community needs.
  4. Serve as a liaison between FEMA and impacted communities, providing support and guidance throughout the recovery process.
  5. Conduct damage assessments and analyze data to determine eligibility for federal assistance.
  6. Facilitate the distribution of resources and funds to support recovery efforts.
  7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and community members to provide updates and gather feedback.
  8. Stay up-to-date on federal policies and guidelines related to disaster recovery and ensure compliance.
  9. Provide technical assistance and guidance to communities on disaster recovery best practices.
  10. Prepare reports and presentations to inform decision-making and track progress of recovery efforts.
  11. Train and mentor other emergency management staff on recovery procedures and protocols.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation of recovery efforts.
  13. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and organizations to facilitate a collaborative recovery process.
  14. Respond to inquiries and provide support to individuals and families affected by disasters.
  15. Participate in emergency preparedness exercises and drills to ensure readiness for future disasters.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Disaster Recovery Operations Or Emergency Management.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Fema Policies, Procedures, And Regulations Related To Disaster Recovery.

  • Familiarity With Disaster Recovery Software And Tools Such As Fema's Public Assistance Grant System (Pags) And Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (Hmgp).

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Non-Profit Organizations, And Community Members.
