
Emergency Management Specialist
Planning outreach events with state, tribal and local officials to advance the goals of mitigation. Coordinating and facilitating public meetings. Writing, designing, and publishing outreach materials. Developing innovating ways to track and measure the impact of our outreach. Maintaining an inventory of outreach materials and equipment. Reviewing resilience and sustainability proposals submitted through FEMA’s hazard mitigation assistance grant programs and help support their project management. Building and maintaining relationships with other federal agencies around climate change initiatives. Coordinate with the National Preparedness training program and other divisions to align training offerings. Managing the logistics for mitigation trainings including their promotion, virtual or in-person set-up, and post-training analysis.
Experience with implementation of emergency management or business continuity programs
Demonstrated skill in managing projects collaboratively through diverse workgroups
Experience conducting trainings and exercises
3 years of related experience
