- Operate a tractor-trailer in a safe and efficient manner to transport and switch trailers at the FedEx facility.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving and operating equipment.
- Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces, including backing up and turning in congested areas.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of work performed, including mileage, fuel, and delivery information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and fellow team members to coordinate trailer movements and deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering shipments on time and handling any customer inquiries or concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
- Keep work area clean and organized, including properly securing equipment and materials.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
