  1. Sort and scan incoming packages accurately and efficiently.
  2. Load and unload packages from delivery trucks and conveyor belts.
  3. Ensure packages are properly labeled and organized for delivery.
  4. Use handheld scanners and computer systems to track and update package information.
  5. Operate equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks to move packages safely.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  9. Lift and move packages up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the shift.
  10. Meet daily performance goals and deadlines.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors with packages.
  12. Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages on time and in perfect condition.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures.

  • Physical Fitness: Package Handlers Must Be Physically Fit To Lift And Move Packages Weighing Up To 75 Pounds. They Also Need To Be Able To Stand On Their Feet For Extended Periods Of Time.

  • Time Management Skills: As A Package Handler, One Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively Under Strict Time Constraints. This Includes Being Able To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.

  • Attention To Detail: Package Handlers Must Pay Close Attention To Detail To Ensure That Packages Are Handled And Loaded Onto The Correct Trucks And Delivered To The Correct Destinations.

  • Teamwork: Package Handlers Work As Part Of A Team And Must Be Able To Communicate And Collaborate With Their Coworkers To Ensure That Packages Are Processed And Shipped In A Timely Manner.

  • Reliability: As A Package Handler, One Must Be Dependable And Able To Work A Flexible Schedule, Which May Include Early Mornings, Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays. This Job Also Requires The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Physically Demanding Environment.
