- Safely and efficiently handle incoming and outgoing shipments of materials and products.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Organize and maintain inventory levels and ensure accuracy of all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Accurately and efficiently pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Continuously seek ways to improve warehouse operations and suggest process improvements.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving any issues related to shipments or orders.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials and shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping and receiving regulations, including hazardous material handling.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Follow all company guidelines for proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Meet productivity goals and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks performed.
Experience With Warehouse Operations: A Material Handler At Fedex Should Have Experience Working In A Warehouse Setting, With Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Forklift Operation, And Shipping And Receiving Procedures.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Role Involves Heavy Lifting And Moving Of Packages And Materials, So Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Stand, Walk, And Lift For Extended Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: Material Handlers Are Responsible For Maintaining Accurate Inventory Records And Ensuring The Correct Packages Are Shipped And Received. They Must Have A Strong Attention To Detail To Avoid Errors And Ensure The Efficient Flow Of Materials.
Forklift Certification: Fedex Requires All Material Handlers To Be Certified To Operate A Forklift. Candidates With Prior Forklift Certification Will Have An Advantage In The Hiring Process.
