Physical Stamina And Strength: A Freight Handler Must Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Packages Weighing Up To 75 Pounds On A Regular Basis. They Should Also Be Able To Stand And Walk For Extended Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: Accurate And Efficient Handling Of Packages Is Crucial In A Fast-Paced Environment Like Fedex. A Freight Handler Must Be Detail-Oriented To Ensure That Packages Are Sorted And Loaded Correctly.
Teamwork And Communication Skills: A Freight Handler Must Work Closely With Other Team Members To Meet Tight Deadlines And Ensure Smooth Operation Of The Facility. Good Communication Skills Are Also Important For Coordinating With Colleagues And Supervisors.
Ability To Operate Equipment: Freight Handlers At Fedex May Be Required To Operate Various Types Of Equipment Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Conveyor Systems. Prior Experience And/Or Training In Operating This Equipment Is A Plus.
