Job Description

As a Freight Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of packages and freight to our customers.   1. Load and unload packages and freight from trucks, using proper lifting and loading techniques to ensure safe and efficient handling.
  2. Sort and organize packages and freight according to destination and delivery time.
  3. Verify and record accurate information for packages and freight, including tracking numbers, delivery addresses, and package weight.
  4. Operate forklifts and other equipment to move packages and freight within the warehouse.
  5. Communicate with team members to coordinate and prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of packages and freight.
  6. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
  7. Inspect packages and freight for any damages or inconsistencies and report any issues to supervisors.
  8. Follow company policies and procedures for handling and documenting hazardous materials, if applicable.
  9. Meet productivity goals and deadlines set by management.
  10. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  11. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customers' questions and concerns regarding their packages and freight.
  12. Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  13. Comply with all company and industry regulations and standards.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
