- Load and unload packages and freight from trucks, ensuring safe handling and proper placement.
- Sort packages and freight according to delivery routes and schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient operations.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move packages and freight.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Meet productivity and performance goals set by the company.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing packages or freight.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job.

Physical Fitness: Freight Handlers Must Possess The Physical Strength And Endurance To Lift, Carry, And Move Heavy Packages And Freight On A Regular Basis. This Requires The Ability To Safely Lift And Move Objects Weighing Up To 75 Pounds.
Forklift Operation: Experience And Proficiency In Operating A Forklift Is A Must For A Freight Handler At Fedex. This Includes The Ability To Safely Maneuver The Forklift In Tight Spaces And Load/Unload Trucks And Containers.
Attention To Detail: Freight Handlers Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That Packages And Freight Are Properly Labeled, Sorted, And Loaded Onto The Correct Trucks And Containers. This Requires The Ability To Read And Understand Shipping Labels And Manifests Accurately.
Time Management: Fedex Operates On A Tight Schedule, And Freight Handlers Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Quickly To Meet Delivery Deadlines. This Requires Strong Time Management Skills And The Ability To Prioritize Tasks Effectively.
Teamwork: As Part Of A Larger Team, Freight Handlers Must Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Team Members To Ensure The Smooth And Timely Flow Of Packages And Freight. This Includes Effective Communication, Problem-Solving, And The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure.
