- Operate and maintain equipment and vehicles in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of all equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Safely load, unload, and transport packages and freight to and from designated locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating equipment and vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Identify and report any equipment or vehicle malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Meet or exceed productivity and performance goals on a daily basis.
- Participate in training programs and stay up-to-date on equipment and vehicle operation and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): A Cdl Is Required To Operate Commercial Vehicles, Such As Delivery Trucks And Tractor-Trailers, At Fedex.
Experience Operating Heavy Equipment: Applicants Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Operating Heavy Equipment, Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Conveyor Systems.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: The Job Of An Equipment Operator At Fedex Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Individuals To Lift, Carry, And Move Heavy Packages And Equipment On A Daily Basis.
Attention To Detail: As An Equipment Operator, Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure The Safe And Accurate Handling Of Packages And Equipment. This Includes Properly Inspecting And Maintaining Equipment And Accurately Recording And Tracking Package Movements.
