  1. Review and analyze import and export documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations and laws.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain necessary information and documentation for customs clearance.
  3. Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and other applicable regulations.
  4. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and compliance with customs requirements.
  5. Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues or concerns.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customs clearance activities.
  7. Research and stay current on changes in customs regulations and laws, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  8. Identify and resolve any issues or delays in customs clearance, working closely with customs officials and other parties as needed.
  9. Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure smooth movement of goods across borders.
  10. Train and mentor other team members on customs regulations and processes.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information related to customs clearance.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency in customs clearance operations.
  15. Represent FedEx in a professional and positive manner, promoting the company's values and commitment to excellence.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Customs Regulations: A Customs Trade Specialist At Fedex Should Have A Strong Understanding Of International Trade Laws And Regulations, Including Import And Export Regulations, Tariff Classifications, And Free Trade Agreements.

  • Experience With Clearance Procedures: Candidates Should Have Experience With Customs Clearance Procedures, Including Filing And Managing Customs Declarations, Duty Calculations, And Coordinating With Government Agencies.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Customs Trade Specialists Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Work With Customers, Government Agencies, And Internal Teams To Resolve Issues And Ensure Compliance With Regulations.

  • Attention To Detail: The Job Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail, As Customs Trade Specialists Must Accurately Review And Verify Documentation To Ensure Compliance With Regulations And Avoid Delays Or Penalties.

  • International Trade Experience: Candidates With Experience In International Trade, Logistics, Or Supply Chain Management Will Have An Advantage In This Role, As They Will Have A Better Understanding Of The Complexities Of Global Trade And The Role Of Customs Clearance.
