  1. Ensure timely and accurate processing of international shipments in compliance with customs regulations.

  4. Review and prepare necessary paperwork and documentation for customs clearance.
  5. Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the customs clearance process.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all international shipments.
  7. Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide updates and resolve any issues related to customs clearance.
  8. Utilize knowledge of import and export processes to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to international trade.
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills in customs trade.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Customs Regulations: A Customs Trade Specialist At Fedex Should Possess A Comprehensive Understanding Of Customs Regulations And Procedures, Including Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, And Country-Specific Import And Export Regulations.

  • Experience With Customs Documentation: Candidates For This Role Should Have Experience In Preparing And Reviewing Customs Documentation Such As Commercial Invoices, Bill Of Lading, And Certificates Of Origin. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Electronic Customs Filing Systems.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In This Role As Customs Trade Specialists Interact With Various Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Customs Officials, Brokers, And Customers. The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Professionally Is Necessary To Ensure Efficient And Timely Customs Clearance.

  • International Trade Knowledge: A Solid Understanding Of International Trade Practices And Procedures Is Essential For A Customs Trade Specialist At Fedex. This Includes Knowledge Of Free Trade Agreements, Customs Valuation, And Other Trade-Related Concepts. Experience With Trade Compliance And Trade Data Analysis Is Also Beneficial.
