  1. Coordinate and document all aspects of shipments through customs processes, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of international trade laws, regulations, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments.
  3. Communicate with internal teams, external vendors, and customs officials to resolve any issues or delays in the shipment process.
  4. Verify and review all necessary documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and other customs-related forms.
  5. Maintain accurate records and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and adherence to customs regulations.
  6. Identify, report, and resolve any discrepancies or errors in shipping and customs documents.
  7. Stay up-to-date on changes in customs regulations and communicate any updates or changes to the appropriate teams.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency in customs coordination.
  9. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to customs processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on customs regulations and best practices, providing guidance and training to other team members as needed.

  • Proficiency In Customs Software And Systems: The Role Requires The Use Of Various Customs Software And Systems To Manage And Track Shipments, Therefore Proficiency In These Tools Is Essential.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills: As A Key Point Of Contact For Customers, Customs Officials, And Other Stakeholders, A Customs Trade Coordinator Must Have Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills To Manage Multiple Tasks And Stakeholders Effectively.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Involves Reviewing And Verifying Shipment Documentation, Which Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure All Information Is Accurate And Complete.

  • Experience In International Logistics: A Strong Understanding Of International Logistics Processes And Procedures Is Essential For A Customs Trade Coordinator, As They Will Be Responsible For Managing The End-To-End Shipment Process And Ensuring Timely And Efficient Delivery. Previous Experience In A Similar Role Is Preferred.
