  1. Facilitate the smooth and timely movement of goods through international borders by coordinating with various departments and agencies.
  2. Ensure compliance with all customs and trade regulations and laws.
  3. Accurately classify goods and determine their tariff and duty rates.
  4. Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance.
  5. Communicate with clients and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues or delays.
  6. Continuously monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  7. Identify and address any potential customs or trade-related risks.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all trade activities.
  9. Keep up-to-date with changes in customs and trade regulations and implement necessary updates or changes.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and procedures for efficient trade operations.
  11. Assist in resolving any trade-related disputes or discrepancies.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to clients and address any inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
  13. Attend training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to customs and trade.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  15. Represent FedEx in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of International Trade Regulations: A Customs Trade Coordinator At Fedex Should Have A Strong Understanding Of International Trade Regulations, Including Import/Export Laws, Customs Clearance Procedures, And Documentation Requirements.

  • Experience With Customs Documentation: Candidates Should Have Experience Preparing And Reviewing Customs Documentation, Such As Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, And Certificates Of Origin. Familiarity With Various Customs Forms And Procedures Is Also Necessary.

  • Familiarity With Trade Compliance Software: Fedex Utilizes Various Trade Compliance Software Programs To Track Shipments, Manage Customs Documentation, And Ensure Compliance With Regulations. Experience With These Programs, Such As Fedex Trade Networks' My Global Trade Data, Is A Plus.

  • Attention To Detail: As Customs Clearance Involves A Lot Of Paperwork And Strict Regulations, A Strong Attention To Detail Is Essential For A Customs Trade Coordinator. They Must Be Able To Accurately Review And Verify All Documentation To Ensure Shipments Are In Compliance With Regulations.

  • Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: A Customs Trade Coordinator Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Customs Officials, And Other Parties Involved In The Clearance Process. Additionally, Problem-Solving Skills Are Necessary To Resolve Any Issues That May Arise During The Clearance Process.
