  1. Safely operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with company policies and traffic laws.
  2. Load and unload packages onto the vehicle in an organized and secure manner.
  3. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of packages to designated locations.
  4. Verify and document accurate delivery information, including recipient name and signature.
  5. Provide excellent customer service by promptly and professionally responding to inquiries and concerns.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
  8. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department.
  9. Adhere to company time management policies to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  10. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet delivery deadlines and resolve any issues that may arise.
  11. Stay updated on company policies, procedures, and regulations related to the job.
  12. Continuously strive to improve delivery processes and customer satisfaction.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the company to customers and the public.
  14. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  15. Attend training and development programs as required by the company.
  16. Adhere to all company and government regulations related to transportation and delivery.
  17. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) With Proper Endorsements: A City Driver At Fedex Must Possess A Valid Cdl, Which Allows Them To Operate Commercial Vehicles Such As Large Trucks And Vans. The Candidate Must Also Have The Necessary Endorsements, Such As Hazmat, Tanker, Or Doubles/Triples, Depending On The Type Of Cargo They Will Be Transporting.

  • Clean Driving Record: Since City Drivers Will Be Responsible For Transporting Valuable Packages And Goods, They Must Have A Clean Driving Record Without Any Major Violations Or Accidents. This Demonstrates Their Ability To Safely Operate A Vehicle And Follow Traffic Laws.

  • Physical Fitness And Strength: The Job Of A City Driver At Fedex Involves Loading And Unloading Packages, Which Can Be Physically Demanding. Therefore, Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Possess The Strength To Lift And Move Heavy Packages On A Regular Basis.

  • Knowledge Of Dot Regulations And Procedures: As A City Driver, One Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Department Of Transportation (Dot) Regulations And Procedures Related To The Transportation Of Goods. This Includes Knowledge Of Weight Limits, Hours Of Service, And Vehicle Maintenance Requirements.

  • Customer Service Skills: City Drivers At Fedex Are Often The First Point Of Contact For Customers, And They Must Have Excellent Customer Service Skills. This Includes Being Courteous, Professional, And Able To Handle Customer Inquiries And Complaints In A Calm And Efficient Manner.
