
Accounting Manager, P&C Accounting
This role is part of the P&C Accounting team, responsible for leading accounting operations, period-end closing, controls validation and ad hoc projects to support multiple lines across Farmers. Reviews and analyzes internal and external financial statements. Monitors emerging NAIC accounting issues, recommending and implementing action to be taken. Recommends response to state department and other regulatory inquires of property and casualty financial reports; performs special accounting studies. Prepares quarterly Board reports for both the Boards of Governors and Directors Assists in the preparation of presentations to the two boards as well as rating agencies. Reviews and analyzes internal and external financial statements of the property and casualty companies ensuring accuracy and providing deviation analysis.
Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of prior Accounting or Finance experience
Hands-on accounting experience in P&C Insurance industry.
Ability to lead in a hands-on capacity and develop individual contributors.
