Job Description

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company fleet vehicles, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide effective solutions.
  3. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and safety of fleet vehicles.
  4. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on fleet vehicles.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies for repairs.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on fleet vehicles.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance needs and repairs.
  9. Participate in training and development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and technological changes in vehicle maintenance.
  11. Prioritize and manage workload to ensure timely completion of tasks and minimize vehicle downtime.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  13. Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure efficient operation of fleet vehicles.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards coworkers and customers.
  15. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations for fleet vehicle maintenance.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In Automotive And Heavy Equipment Maintenance: A Fleet Maintenance Technician At Fareway Stores Should Have A Strong Background In Automotive And Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Including Knowledge Of Engines, Transmissions, Brakes, And Other Mechanical Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Fleet Management Software: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Using Fleet Management Software To Track And Maintain The Company's Fleet Of Vehicles. This Includes Scheduling And Performing Routine Maintenance, Tracking Inventory, And Generating Reports.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: A Fleet Maintenance Technician Should Be Able To Identify And Troubleshoot Mechanical Issues Quickly And Efficiently, In Order To Minimize Downtime And Keep The Fleet Running Smoothly.

  • Ability To Work Independently: This Role Requires The Ability To Work Independently And Make Decisions On Repairs And Maintenance Tasks. The Candidate Should Be Self-Motivated, Organized, And Able To Prioritize Tasks Effectively.

  • Excellent Communication And Record-Keeping Skills: As A Member Of The Fleet Maintenance Team, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Other Team Members And Managers, As Well As Maintaining Accurate Records Of Maintenance And Repairs. Strong Communication Skills And Attention To Detail Are Essential For This Role.
