Electrical Technician

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in Fareway Stores, ensuring they are running efficiently and safely at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of store electrical systems to identify and address any potential issues or hazards
- Respond promptly to any electrical emergencies or breakdowns in the stores, troubleshooting and resolving problems in a timely manner
- Collaborate with store managers and other team members to plan and prioritize electrical maintenance and repairs
- Keep accurate records of all electrical work performed, including maintenance schedules and repair logs
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations
- Train and mentor junior technicians on proper electrical maintenance procedures and safe handling of equipment
- Communicate effectively with store management and other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions to store operations
- Participate in regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe and secure work environment for customers and employees
- Continuously look for ways to improve and optimize electrical systems and processes in the stores, making recommendations for upgrades or improvements as needed.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For An Electrical Technician Position At Fareway Stores.
Technical Training Or Certification: Candidates Should Have Completed A Technical Training Program Or Hold A Certification In Electrical Work, Such As An Electrician's License Or An Associate's Degree In Electrical Technology.
Previous Experience In Electrical Maintenance Or Repair: Prior Work Experience In Electrical Maintenance Or Repair, Preferably In A Retail Or Commercial Setting, Is Highly Desirable For This Role.
Knowledge Of Electrical Systems And Codes: A Strong Understanding Of Electrical Systems, Wiring, And Codes Is Essential For An Electrical Technician At Fareway Stores To Effectively Diagnose And Troubleshoot Issues.
Strong Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: The Ability To Think Critically And Communicate Effectively Is Crucial For An Electrical Technician To Successfully Complete Tasks And Collaborate With Other Team Members.
