- Maintain and repair all refrigeration systems on campus, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and display cases.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure proper functioning of all refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose any issues with refrigeration systems, and implement appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency calls and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of our products.
- Monitor refrigerant levels and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and operations teams to coordinate repairs and minimize disruptions to daily operations.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on refrigeration systems.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in refrigeration technology to make recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
- Adhere to company safety procedures and protocols at all times while performing job duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members to report any issues or concerns.

Hvac/R Certification: A Campus Refrigeration Technician At Fareway Stores Must Possess A Current Certification In Hvac/R Or A Related Field. This Ensures That The Technician Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Properly Maintain And Repair Refrigeration Systems.
Experience In Commercial Refrigeration: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working With Commercial Refrigeration Systems. This Experience Should Include Installation, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting Of Various Types Of Refrigeration Equipment.
Knowledge Of Safety Regulations: The Technician Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Procedures Related To Refrigeration Systems. This Includes Knowledge Of Handling And Disposing Of Refrigerants, As Well As Adhering To Osha Guidelines.
Strong Technical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Reading And Interpreting Technical Schematics And Diagrams. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Various Tools And Equipment Used In Refrigeration Repair And Maintenance.
Customer Service Skills: As A Campus Refrigeration Technician, The Individual Will Be Working Closely With Store Managers And Staff, As Well As Building Maintenance Personnel.
