
Operations Assistant Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Assistant Manager to join the team at Family Dollar. As an Operations Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for a range of operations duties to ensure the efficient and successful operation of our stores. You should be highly organized, energetic, and have a passion for helping customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or GED equivalent• Previous experience in a retail operations management role• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team• Outstanding customer service skills• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems• Working knowledge of inventory management and loss prevention• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50lbs
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor staff performance and offer guidance and training as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for store operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stocking and merchandising.
- Work closely with the store manager to identify areas of improvement and help foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure that all safety standards are met and that the store is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the hiring process for new staff members.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and ensure adherence to budgetary goals.
- Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure proper security of funds.
