  1. Design and develop software solutions using C++ to meet the needs of our clients.
  2. Collaborate with team members to identify and solve complex technical problems.
  3. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality and error-free code.
  4. Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in C++ to improve our software development process.
  5. Create and maintain technical documentation for all software development processes and procedures.
  6. Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of software projects.
  7. Actively participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  8. Proactively identify and suggest solutions to potential issues and roadblocks in the software development process.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  10. Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and quality assurance engineers, to ensure a seamless and successful software development process.
  12. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including security protocols and data protection regulations.
  13. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and enhancing the overall team performance.
  14. Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the software development process.
  15. Take ownership and responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Proficiency In C++ Programming Language: A Software Engineer Iii At Factset Research Systems Must Have Advanced Knowledge And Experience In Coding Using C++. This Includes Expertise In Data Structures, Algorithms, And Object-Oriented Programming Principles.

  • Extensive Experience In Software Development: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Software Development, With A Focus On C++ Development. They Should Be Well-Versed In Software Development Methodologies, Version Control Systems, And Debugging Tools.

  • Knowledge Of Financial Data And Systems: Factset Specializes In Financial Data And Systems, So Familiarity With This Domain Is Highly Desirable. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Financial Markets, Data Analysis, And Financial Modeling.

  • Ability To Work In A Team: As A Software Engineer Iii, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Design And Develop Software Solutions. Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Necessary To Succeed In This Role.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Degree In Computer Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field Is Usually Required For A Software Engineer Iii Position At Factset. Advanced Degrees Or Specialized Certifications In C++ Development Can Be A Plus.
