- Lead the development and management of Etsy's Data Platform, ensuring its continuous improvement and alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design and implementation of data infrastructure, tools, and processes to support data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and drive data initiatives.
- Communicate and evangelize the value and impact of the Data Platform to various stakeholders, including senior leadership, to gain buy-in and support.
- Manage a team of data engineers and analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for their professional growth and development.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for the Data Platform, prioritizing and managing projects and resources to deliver on key initiatives.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the Data Platform, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance its capabilities and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data management and technologies, bringing new ideas and best practices to the team.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and promote a data-informed mindset across the organization.
- Collaborate with other product managers and teams to ensure the Data Platform integrates seamlessly with other company products and systems.
- Participate in budget planning and management for the Data Platform, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
Strong Technical Background: A Successful Staff Product Manager, Data Platform At Etsy Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Data Management Principles, Data Architecture, And Data Analytics. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Various Data Technologies And Tools, Such As Sql, Hadoop, And Data Visualization Software.
Product Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Product Management, Preferably In The Data Or Analytics Space.
