Etsy is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer II to join our dynamic Perso Seller team!   1. Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions for Etsy's Perso Seller team.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers to ensure delivery of successful projects.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  4. Utilize your strong background in software engineering to design and implement innovative tools and features for our sellers.
  5. Identify and resolve technical issues and provide technical guidance to team members.
  6. Continuously research and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in our products.
  7. Work closely with product managers and designers to ensure a seamless user experience for our sellers.
  8. Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
  9. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback on projects.
  11. Take ownership of projects and proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance the selling experience for our users.
  12. Work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  13. Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
  14. Represent Etsy as a leader in the e-commerce industry and promote our mission to connect artists and creators with buyers worldwide.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Software Development: A Senior Software Engineer Ii At Etsy Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Software Development, With A Strong Background In Building And Maintaining Complex Systems. This Includes Experience With Various Programming Languages, Tools, And Technologies.

  • Proficiency In Web Development: As Etsy Is An E-Commerce Platform, The Senior Software Engineer Ii Should Have Expertise In Web Development, Including Html, Css, And Javascript. They Should Also Have Experience With Front-End Frameworks Such As React Or Angular, As Well As Back-End Frameworks Like Node.js.

  • Strong Understanding Of Database Management: The Senior Software Engineer Ii Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Database Management And Be Proficient In Sql. They Should Also Have Experience With Nosql Databases Such As Mongodb.

  • Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Senior Software Engineer Ii, The Candidate Should Have Proven Leadership Skills And Experience In Leading A Team Of Software Engineers. They Should Also Have Strong Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Delegate Responsibilities, And Meet Deadlines.
