- Design and develop innovative and user-friendly payment experiences for Etsy's global marketplace
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and researchers to understand user needs and business goals
- Conduct user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on designs
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design solutions
- Ensure designs are consistent with Etsy's brand and design guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices for payment design
- Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the design process
- Present and explain design solutions to stakeholders and gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Mentor and guide junior designers on the team
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently
- Continuously gather and analyze data to inform design decisions and make data-driven recommendations
- Strive to continuously improve and evolve the payment experience for both buyers and sellers on Etsy.
Extensive Experience In Product Design: A Senior Product Designer At Etsy Should Have At Least 7 Years Of Experience In Product Design, With A Proven Track Record Of Creating Successful And Innovative Products In The Payments Industry.
Strong Understanding Of User Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of User-Centered Design Principles And Be Able To Apply Them To Create Intuitive And Engaging Payment Experiences For Etsy's Users.
Proficiency In Design Tools And Methodologies: A Senior Product Designer Should Be Proficient In Design Tools Such As Sketch, Figma, And Adobe Creative Suite, As Well As Have A Solid Understanding Of Design Thinking And Agile Methodologies.
