Job Description

EPAM Systems is looking for a talented and experienced GCP Cloud Cost Optimization Architect to join our innovative and fast-paced global team. This position will provide the opportunity for an individual to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-changing environment.The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of cost optimization practices for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) along with the ability to analyze cost optimization opportunities and develop solutions to reduce cloud infrastructure costs for the company. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and has excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple complex tasks and prioritize competing objectives.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in cloud cost optimization, preferably in Google Cloud Platform, and ideally be a certified Google Cloud Professional Architect. They must possess a deep understanding of cloud architectures, cloud-based services, pricing models, and cost optimization strategies. In addition, they should be well versed in scripting, automation, and DevOps practices. An understanding of software development and other programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript will also be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Analyze cost optimization opportunities and develop creative solutions to reduce cloud infrastructure costs for the company.
Monitor and manage cloud costs and budgets to ensure efficient use of resources and identify cost optimization opportunities.
Utilize scripting, automation, and DevOps practices to optimize cloud costs.
Research, identify, and evaluate new cost optimization strategies.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure cost optimization goals are met.
Develop and implement cloud cost optimization policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in cloud cost optimization.
Assist in troubleshooting cloud cost optimization related issues.
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on cloud cost optimization strategies.
