Network Design Engineer

Works on multiple simultaneous projects to implement new technologies and configurations in relation to our data center switching environment in conjunction with other internal groups. Participates in the Enterprise. Ensuring all design/transition deliverables are completed and a handover is completed to Service Operations. Conducting training to move new switch related features into an operational state, including providing early life support. Acts as a lead and subject matter expert for network/security switching technologies within the group as assigned. Works with the Data Center Service Owner to maintain the switching related aspects of our Data Center networking services roadmap Stays current with our current vendors’ directions and roadmaps to ensure we take advantage of new features that provide additional value/security to our business and fully leverage our investments. Acts as interface between Service Engineering and Service Operations ensuring the switching environment is capacity planned and proactively monitored to maximize availability.
