- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and assess workplace hazards and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on EHS topics and provide guidance and support to all levels of the organization.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain and update EHS records and documentation, including safety data sheets and training records.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging EHS regulations and trends, and proactively make recommendations for compliance.
- Communicate and collaborate with regulatory agencies, as necessary, to ensure compliance and respond to inquiries.
- Participate in emergency response and crisis management activities, including developing emergency response plans and conducting drills.
- Encourage and promote a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.
- Provide support for EHS-related projects and initiatives, such as waste management and energy conservation.
- Assist with the development and management of EHS budgets and resources.
- Conduct risk assessments and assist with the implementation of risk reduction measures.
- Represent the company in EHS-related meetings and forums, both internally and externally.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation in EHS practices and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Ehs Role, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Ehs Regulations And Their Application To The Company's Operations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Train And Engage Employees At All Levels Of The Organization.
Professional Certification In Ehs, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih), Is Preferred.
