As a Game Designer Co-op for NHL, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and contribute to the creation of cutting-edge gameplay, features, and content.   1. Collaborate with the development team to conceptualize and design innovative gameplay mechanics and features for the upcoming NHL release.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis of the current gaming market and trends in order to contribute fresh and exciting ideas to the project.
  3. Utilize your knowledge and passion for the NHL to create an authentic and immersive virtual experience for fans.
  4. Work closely with artists and programmers to ensure the gameplay and visuals align with the overall vision for the game.
  5. Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including game mechanics, level designs, and feature specifications.
  6. Continuously playtest and provide feedback on the game to ensure a high-quality and enjoyable player experience.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and trends, and incorporate them into the game design when applicable.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and community management, to gather feedback and insights from players and incorporate them into the game design.
  9. Take ownership of specific areas of the game design and see them through to completion, ensuring they meet the high standards of the franchise.
  10. Use problem-solving skills to identify and address any design issues that may arise during development.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  12. Take initiative and be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
  13. Contribute to the overall success of the game and the team by bringing enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong work ethic to the role.

Job Qualifications
  • A Strong Passion For Both The Game Of Hockey And The Gaming Industry, With A Thorough Understanding Of Current Trends, Mechanics, And Gameplay Mechanics Within The Sports Gaming Genre.

  • Excellent Communication And Team Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders, Including Developers, Producers, And Artists.

  • Proficiency In Game Design Software And Tools, Such As Unity Or Unreal Engine, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Game Scripting Languages, Such As C++ Or C#.
