  1. Collaborate with the creative team to establish and maintain the visual direction for all game surfaces.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of surfacing artists to ensure high quality and timely delivery of assets.
  3. Develop and implement surfacing techniques and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in surfacing and gaming graphics, and apply them to enhance our games.
  5. Work closely with the art director and other department leads to ensure consistency and cohesion in the visual style of the game.
  6. Review and provide feedback on surfacing assets to ensure they meet the technical and artistic standards of the game.
  7. Collaborate with other departments, such as lighting and effects, to ensure a cohesive and immersive visual experience for players.
  8. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed within budget.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve surfacing processes and pipelines to optimize efficiency and quality.
  10. Communicate and present surfacing ideas and techniques to the team and other stakeholders.
  11. Actively participate in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions to find creative solutions for technical and artistic challenges.
  12. Nurture a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and open communication.
  13. Keep track of industry advancements and stay informed about competitors' surfacing techniques to help guide our visual direction.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In 3D Modeling And Surfacing Techniques, With A Strong Portfolio Showcasing A Range Of High-Quality Assets And Projects.

  • Proficient In Industry-Standard Software Such As Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, And Photoshop, With A Deep Understanding Of Their Capabilities And Limitations.

  • Proven Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Surfacing Artists, Guiding And Mentoring Them To Produce Top-Notch Work.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Current Trends And Techniques In The Gaming Industry, With A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Push The Boundaries Of Visual Quality.

  • Exceptional Communication And Collaboration Skills, Able To Work Closely With Other Departments Such As Art, Animation, And Design To Ensure A Cohesive And Visually Stunning Final Product.
